I have found some of what I feel are interesting facts recently. I will share them below:
* Only about 8% of the world's money exists as physical cash.
* Fewer that 300 drive - ins remain in operation across the U.S. today. In the 50s and 60s when drive-ins were at their peak of popularity, there were about 4,000 in operation around the country.(We still have one here in Idaho but I'm not sure if it is still in operation or not.)
* Mickey Mouse was not drawn by Disney. The iconic cartoon rodent was actually drawn by Disney's best friend, Ub Iwerks, in 1928. He was making $120 a week as a chief animator.
* Laura Bridgeman was the first deaf and blind person to gain education in the English language.at the Perkinds School for the Blind in Watertown, Massachusetts in 1845. This was 45 years before Helen Keller.
* Esther "Babie" Jones was an African American actress who was the original Betty Boop in the 1920s.
* Geoducks( pronounced "gooey-ducks") are large, edible clams native to the Pacific Northwest. Some have been known to live for up to150 years.
Are there still any drive-ins in your area?

Probably because she didn't write a book and didn't do the things that Helen Keller did to make a name for herself.

Ub was making $120 a week in 1928? That's a fortune. We have a drive-in not too far from here. Geoducks are gross. I didn't know they lived up to 150 years!!!

He started at $40 but it grew over time to $120 a week.
A few states still have one.
They looked gross in the picture.
