Microclimates. How my Daddy froze to death yesterday. --Kitty

It was approaching 90F here. Horse (my human slave) gave me some dry food and water and went to hike with a friend yesterday. They were to hike on the shore of the San Francisco Bay. When he got home, he was frozen stiff. Snot icicles were hanging from his nose. I got him to his bed, where he kept repeating the word, "microclimates" as he sat in a Buddha statue posture. As it was 95 degrees F here, I decided to let nature take its course. Within an hour, he had thawed out. He was babbling something about "saving five dollars" by buying gas in Martinez on the way home. I got him to give me some wet food. Then he went back to his Buddha pose. Finally he said,"It was 55 F as we hiked. In the wind, it felt like 40 or 45. I should have brought my sweatshirt." As of his morning, he seems OK. He is not babbling incoherently. He even went to the pool last night and swam until after dark. Do you have to take care of stupid humans as well?

Nico, says mine would lose her head if it wasn't attached. Sometimes I have to stand by my food to remind her where she put it. What would they ever do without us? I also have to tell her if I hear strange noises. She seems oblivious to it.

Humans can be pretty clueless. They don't even understand how dangerous garbage trucks can be.

@TheHorse "I know right?" They don't have the right kind of brains in their head.

I would love a cat that would take care of me like you do Horse. He is a very lucky human.

I might go on strike if he doesn't start giving me wet food more often. --K

Kitty is a good caretaker! You raised her well. Or, she raised you well.

You can’t let him out of your sight, Kitty. You need to put a weather app on his cell phone so it can tell him that it’s 45 degrees where he’s going so take a jacket!

Kitty I suggest if he gets cold again wrap yourself around his neck with your paws over his shoulders, That should warm things up,

I have been jumping up in bed with him a lot recently. He needs "extra support."

Kitty, it’s a good thing that he has you to see that he takes care of himself. You would think he could at least remember to take a sweatshirt or a hoodie, but you know how guys can be…they need some follow up because they forget a lot of things.

He thinks he knows a lot. And then he forgets to use it. I just keep him well enough to feed me.
