I am excited that the day has come.
We are all waiting for this day to come. It means that finally, my daughter will start a new chapter in her life. Her university life begins.
I am sad that the day has come.
This means missing my daughter who for not one day missed sleeping at home, except for some retreats from school. I'm sad that I can't be with her everyday.
But life goes on...

@rakski Good. That's what I did when Pretty went away to college, too.

I think that is the hardest part of being a parent.

This is a big milestone for your daughter, and a new chapter in your life! How far away is the university she will be attending?
I was lucky with my two kids, I live right down the street from the university both of them went to, so they continued to live at home while they were studying.

@moffittjc an hour and a half without traffic.
if with traffic, it can go double, if with rain and traffic, it could be more

@rakski So how long would it take to get from your home to the university?

Never had that experience @rakski I still commuted from home to school vice versa. But because the transport was just two way for me. I never experience the roommate thing. Yeah, that kind of freedom is just tempting. I hope she is careful with people, specially if you are not around.
