Carvery meal for Sunday lunch

United Kingdom

We usually go to my Mom's for Sunday lunch but as we are at the caravan at the moment we had to make other plans. We know a fantastic pub / restaurant that is one of the few in these parts that does a carvery .....which we love. The Mister had turkey and gammon , a Yorkshire pudding and a selection of veg, plus gravy. I had turkey and beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, braised onions, stuffing, leeks, red cabbage, sprouts and cauliflower, plus gravy. I also managed to get a discount of 15% off the food. To drink The Mister had cider and I had lager and lime. What did you have for your Sunday lunch ?

Most of what you and your hubby ate sounds delicious... I'm glad you had such good meals.

After having the caravan for almost twenty years we thought we knew most places to eat but we only found this restaurant about five years ago. It is the best for miles around. Not many places round here do carvery either.

@Traceyjayne I never want gravy with anything... (Dad insisted on biscuits and gravy every morning and burned mom and I out on it. Once in a while I make biscuits but I use them for sandwiches.) I made some Yorkshire pudding last week. It was pretty good. All the meats and most of the veggies sound delicious. I don't like cauliflower, though.

I had a ham sandwich with cheddar and mozzarella cheese, mustard, on cheese and jalapeƱo bread.
