The Industrial Military Complex looks a lot like Ukraine.

Well, Trump said he would stop the Ukraine war in just 24 hours, if elected, but it's been ...er....500 days and nothing yet. He claimed to have stopped 'six wars in six months' but no one is clear on what wars they were. He has certainly not stopped the war In Gaza. His international diplomacy skills seem to be limited, Putin playing him like a Stradivarius! Sadly, Zelensky has no friends and those world leaders will all betray him in the end. They want him to stop the war at the current borders, a long shot as Putin won't go for that, Ukrainians definitely not. Putin will win eventually so you can understand why Trump wants to end it where we are. It does seem pointless to carry on. Another option is a Ukraine election during a 60 day ceasefire. a referendum one where there is two options: take the peace deal and new borders or fight on. At least it gets Zlensky off the hook from the guilt or that partial surrender, if he loses, the new President able to carry out the will of the people. I suspect the E.U is quietly putting pressure on Z to end this, one way or the other. Either way the US is going to make a shat load of money selling arms to both sides from now on, perhaps Trump's real objective all along. He just wanted the E.U to pay for the US military in Europe, so keep power in the region.

Trump is such a liar. I feel badly for Zelensky. I hope he can get something accomplished. Putin will just take it if he doesn't give it to him. It shouldn't happen but with Trump at the helm there is no hope of any help for them.

One thing is sure, the US is making money selling arms to both sides. I doubt that they consider Zelensky and Ukraine "important" enough to risk to make Putin angry. They will force Z to retire so that the next president can reach an agreement.
