20.08.2025: Tomatoes doing relatively great.

I am glad my tomatoes are already doing well and there are minimal incidences of pest and diseases. I am already selling some to neighbours at fair prices. I pick 3-5 tomatoes daily from my less than 10 plants, and since I live alone, this is definitely more than I can consume. I of course give my birds spoilt ones, and they enjoy them more than grains or mash. I have an estimate of 500 – 800 seedlings in my nursery. This figure is 100+ times the ones I am harvesting from. This tells me in black and white that if I put in good effort, I could be harvesting 300 – 500 tomatoes daily by mid-October this year. I think this is a good venture and I will strive to get the best out of it. Any practicable ideas how to best reap from tomato farming?

@SIDIKIMPOLE I should imagine it's a good climate for growing tomatoes as long as you have enough water.

The demand of tomatoes is always growing . The process of producing them is complex hence very few people in my neighbourhood undertake tomato farming. As for my case, i do extensive research especially online and that is how I have a lot of hope in good results.

You can find a lot of information on YouTube. Perhaps they would have some information about canning.

If you don't mind canning you can make juice and sauces with them.

Sadly you do not like the type of tomatoes they sell over there. As for me, I practice 100% organic farming. So they are very safe and nutritious.
