Lovers of the World Unite

The song “Lovers of the World Unite” was a song sung by a British pop duo called David and Jonathan. They recorded it in 1966. The song has lovely lyrics such as “Keep the fire of dreamers bright; lovers of the world unite.” This song came to mind today as the wild winds here have died down and it seems the world keeps on turning. I was writing up some personal stories today, and many different memories came to mind. I thought back through the years at how blessed and full they once were. With many loving people together and sharing in joys and sorrows. Now I take the load on alone and walk by myself through this life. Luckily the joy has not fizzled, and my favorite tunes keep my mood up. Found a cute photo of some cats online

They wrote the Fortunes’ hit “You’ve Got Your Troubles, I’ve Got Mine.” It’s sad they were never successful here in America, I like their sound. Love the cats.
