Giving Up is Not a Bad Thing

As of today, it has been three days that we have not had internet. I kept on following up on the issue with my internet service provider (ISP) and gave up on the idea of calling them. Thanks to our neighbor's ISP because I was able to log in here. Since I cancelled all my classes online, I decided to visit my aunt and will get off from my place after posting this. I am taking this concern lightly because I cannot solve it on my end. Have you ever tried to give up on something or someone? How does it feel? Image Credit: goodgentleman.com

I guess maybe its time to find an alternatives To the current provider you have. I think it’s time you teach them a lesson to improve on their customer service.

@Shavkat Hopefully, you find a better alternative for this. I believe there are times when a provider becomes complacent after being at the top for too long.

@rsa101 I am considering to replace it. I have been whining about this concern because it was not like this before.

I am considering it. I have been using PLDT for more than a decade and whining about having this problem monthly. Speaking of this, I need to report and lessen the unused days of this internet later.

I'm sorry you're still having problems like that and wish I could help you from here. Have a good visit with your aunt.

During my younger years, I was always whining about things that did not work my way. Until I realized it is not a healthy thing to do.

Personally speaking, I do not want to dwell over something that is impossible to gain. Thus, I just convince myself to move forward and try to do something about it.

@rakski Indeed. We cannot remain stagnant. If we do, things will be out of control.

When I feel tired from working behind a desk, I will work on using the minibike stationary since it is one good way for me to lose weight and relieve stress.

Hurricane Beryl took down my Internet for 22 days. I was able to get a bit of 'net from a friend who lived about half mile away... but y'know... not the same.

I am sorry to hear this. I do not like that kind of feeling. If things are not changed with this matter, I am going to take another option, and that is to find a new internet service provider.

@jaylar I will choose which one is the best. Perhaps you can try Star Link.

That is frustrating, that’s for sure. I’m sorry you have had such trouble. A couple of other Mylotters have talked about their internet giving them absolute fits, and put them off for about a month.

Unfortunately, I have been using PLDT for more than a decade now. They were able to restore it the day before yesterday.

People myth to give up on something. Sometimes you have to cut the losses. Its the worse advice ever never give up om something. That being said it makes you go a new way and try new things. I am sure you have this brother.

I also think that it is a misnomer to use 'not to give up.' It does happen if things are not really possible, and it needs to find ways to come up with other options or resolve them in certain ways. Thanks for reminding me to do new things in life.

I cannot blame you because I am experiencing it right now. Things happen with respective reasons. We just need to handle them gracefully.

Indeed, my friend. There are many times that I kept on telling myself not to whine over someone or something for a long time. It was all done, and he needs to face the consequences and move on.

Giving up on something or someone can feel tough and mixed, like a relief sometimes, but also kinda heavy. It’s like closing a chapter, even if it’s not the easy one...

You are right. It was not easy to give up on something or someone. In fact, they tend to be attached to us, and we cannot just let go of them. It is a part of life to go through the process of acceptance.
