Well, the sun was shining all day and we had a lovely day. We stopped at a cafe for breakfast and a drink. At the food festival there were lots of gin, vodka, cheese, sausages, cake and bread stalls. There were street food stalls from all over the world. A few craft stalls too. I tried many samples but I wanted to be good about buying ... I only bought one thing .. this time ....I bought a large bottle of Caramel Vodka. I tried a sample .. it was delicious. It only cost £20 and I am planning to put it away for Christmas. There were also street entertainers which added to the whole experience.

I told Pretty I wanted to go to Apple Butter Makin' Days this year in October... She said as long as I could see, that sounded like fun. Normally, we walk around looking at crafts from all over Missouri and Arkansas, try different foods that are on display and, if the lamb burger guy is there this year, that will be what we'll have for lunch. (They're delicious hot off the grill! I did try buying some extra ones one year and I don't like them after they've gone cold. I even microwaved them and they still tasted bae. ) I'm glad you guys had a good time today!

@Traceyjayne You don't sound stupid... It's better to ask if you don't know something. Apple butter is apple sauce that has been cooked for a long time while stirring it. It turns smooth and creamy with a dark brown color and a rich texture. Pretty loves it on bread as a sandwich. Mom used to eat it on toast for breakfast or a snack. I don't eat apple butter. It's just apple sauce, after all and I don't like that.

Sounds like fun...I found out one of the county fairs about an hour from here has camel rides. I wish it was a bit closer.

@Traceyjayne There is a nice fall festival here in October. I might get friend down here next weekend. It would be a blast to ride a camel.
