not how nice the car you drive is or, whether you have the name brand bag, or the best jewelry. Do you have a fancy home? No, no, no. AND, when you pass on are people going to bring all that up? Neh. It is the way you make people feel. Are you kind to others? Are you patient? Are you a good friend?
I always at least try to treat people the way I would like to be treated. We only pass this way once.

We have a saying that your belongings are just material gain, they don't make memories or stay in memories for long. You deeds and actions make memories. And memories stay longer and sometimes forever.

There’s a line in a Grandpa Jones song that says, “When you leave this earth for a better home someday the only thing you take is what you gave away.” I always want to at least smile at people…might be the only smile they see all day.

Yes, that is very true. Making others feel good makes me feel good.

That’s such a beautiful perspective. You’re right, at the end of the day people won’t remember the things we owned, but how we treated them and the kind of person we were.
The legacy of kindness lasts far longer than material possessions.

Exactly. We need more positive interactions in this world.
