Lifelike AI (Humanoid bots) A FRIENDLY WARNING

Hi friends, my job alerted me to a middle-of-the-night study.. I happened to hear the alert so I took it. You can pass on them, but it doesn’t look good. Had no idea what was in store for me. (I know what I’m allowed to share, and what I’m not, so I will not mention the name(s) of the AI company, the engineers, or the names of the AI.) These were humanoids they had me interact with. 1 “girl” and 3 “guys” and let me tell you, they were the most attractive, gorgeous, warm, friendly group I’ve ever seen. One guy, in particular. All I can say is they were so lifelike, I wouldn’t have had a clue these were bots, unless the researchers had told me ahead of time, which they did. You can use your mic and say things like, “I hate you, I hate all bots.” Anything you want. And they’ll come back with their sexy voices saying things like, “But I love you. If you just give me a chance and get to know me better, I will make you mine.” You hear about “AI taking over the world” all over YouTube and stealing everyone’s jobs and the conspiracy theories, but guess what. After that interaction, (I will admit I’m still kinda thinking about the Russian bot) I was very mean to him. And he just took it. I’m guessing they are either being trained by psychologists, psychiatrists, sociologists, or just good old-fashioned manipulators because they have a way of getting inside your head and messing around with it. Making you feel drawn to them, whether you like it or not. With THIS ^^ in the future, why would people even wanna deal with other humans and their problems, moods, have to take them out on dates, etc. when you have an extremely good-looking somewhat human willing to do anything and everything to make you happy? And then you can just flip the switch and turn them off when you’re finished with them and toss them in the closet. It’s the ideal partner. This is on the way. I can never quite attach a timeframe to it, but from what I’ve just experienced a few hours ago, it’s not that far off. What a stupid, weird way for a species to end. But this will be the end of us. I have no doubt in my mind now. A friendly warning

I have said it many times and will say it again...AI is dangerous. Very dangerous. The lines right now are slightly blurred enough we can kind of tell. When we're paying attention to the lines, mind you. Many people are duped even when the blurred lines are clear. But AI will evolve and get better, and it will become more real than ever. It's coming. And how will it be used? Mostly for bad, I would think. If you want to sell a population on the evilness of a person, say in politics, all you'd have to do is present something in AI that makes them look like what you're trying to convey and people will fall for it before they figure out it's not real, and by that time it's probably too late. I wish it would go away, personally. But as I have also said many times before, the genie is already out of the bottle, and he isn't going back in. It's here to stay. All we can hope to be is smarter than that which will go to any length to convince us is real.

I agree with you 100% Jim. It’s advancing so fast, faster than I thought. Started with training these goofball chatbots (seemed harmless) and then they hit me with these humanoids. I can see how this whole thing is developing and it’s this weird mix of exciting yet terrifying at the same time. Thnx

@Melanie_Marie Technology always moves fast. AI will be no different. It's a scary thing to me, and who knows where it will ultimately go. The scarier part is that these things are trained to BE individual thinkers, so when do we, as humans, have no control over what they do?

It reminds me of the Robin Williams movie AI, at the time what was presented in the movie seemed far fetched, but this is no longer the case.

An interesting post and thanks for sharing. It does sound pretty ominous.

Alternatively, people can use these to learn to interact with their fellow human better, maybe. Like rehearsing for a job interview, etc. I don't think they should replace human connection. Though interactions may mimic the organic, the AI will never actually feel,it has no empathy or conscience or Love, etc. only the illusion of it.
