I learned about them way before pandemic started. I was the only one that subscribed when my wife discouraged me from subscribing. But since l got hooked with a series back then I decided to subscribe after one month free trial expired. When pandemic came and lockdowns where imposed we have no form of entertainment and our cable went on and off and since it was lockdown no one was available for it to be repaired. That is why we turned to Netflix for entertainment alternative. From then on my wife was convinced that subscribing to it was best and we were able to enjoy and since our tv was Netflix ready already we can enjoy it on big screen. Now it looks my wife is more hooked on it than me.

I subscribed to Netflix about two years ago, but after getting hooked on Marie Kondo, I started noticing our home gradually emptying—our stuff just kept disappearing! On top of that, I was cooped up just watching movies that I was not fruitful. Hence, I unsubscribed,

I don't subscribe to any pay channels. I watch them for free if I'm interested in something.

I got introduced here before pandemic began. And it just got hooked during the pandemic because of the lockdowns here and there. TV shows have also become boring and streaming platforms started spreading and popular.

Oh yeah, I'm subscribed to that too, as well as Prime Video. But Netflix definitely has a more interesting and diverse selection of movies and series.

@rsa101 I agree. Nowadays, we stopped using it. It is because our twins dominate watching children TV programs daily here.

Same here, we're on Netflix too, and I enjoy the shows there. I especially love K-drama travel time stories, such as A Time Called You, My Only Love Song, Signal, Rooftop Prince, Go Back Couple, Mr. Queen, and The Light in Your Eyes.

The Mister wasn’t keen on Netflix and it took me ages to persuade him. He still shrugs if I mention watching something on there….although he has caved in a few times. I tend to binge watch during the week when he is away at work.

Here in Venezuela, eight out of every 10 people have Netflix. I am really the only one who doesn't have Netflix because it seems to me that it is more of a fad than anything, although I must consider that it does have some series. That they are very good, there is no denying that, but it is not something I can get hooked on.

I guess it’s similar to when cable TV was a decent alternative to free-to-air channels for getting a clear signal because it was connected to a cable. But now, it’s losing its popularity. I know it will eventually fade away, but for now, it seems to dominate as many movies are released here to gain more visibility rather than being marketed through cinemas.

I was the one who got hooked first, while my wife was strongly against it. However, during the pandemic, when Cable TV had issues, I introduced her to watching Netflix instead of dealing with the frustration of no entertainment during the lockdown. She ended up loving it so much that she became the one hooked, and she still is to this day.

During pandemic my sister and I decided to stay at my uncle's house. my cousin subscribed to netflix so everyday we do watch movies until midnight. We start watching movies at 9am. We also cooked food for snacks while watching movies. and that's the reason why i gained 10kilos weight before.
