I am also glad that the guy I bought my tires from apparently is a member too, and got the tires there. I was able to get my tires inflated, rotated and balanced all for free today. If you took it to a shop at least in this area, they would want 40 or 50 dollars for that. Besides that I got a few good bargains at Costo. They were selling shorts and tops pretty much at yardsale prices. I haven't boughta button down summer shirt for quite some time so this is nice. That is one thing, Costco has increased most of their prices a good deal, but there are super bargains to be had there if you look hard enough. Everything I bought other than the Romaine lettuce was on sale. Do you belong to any warehouse clubs?

The village social club has an account and a lot of individual members do too. We don't. I'm not sure it would be worth it for just the two of us.

You should check their prices on glasses, and it is a great place to buy tires and batteries..both automotive and household. I like to buy clothes there The roma one in a bundle will last me forever. Also, their pharmacy prices are very good.

I love Costco. I think it's better than Sam's. I used to belong to Sam's as there was no Costco--when all the kids were home, it was more for neccessity than anything, we really plowed through the groceries with a houseful of teenagers!! A few years ago, when my oldest girl and her husband moved back here and bought a house, they got a Costco membership and ditched the Sam's. They love Cosco. They sometimes pick up what I request when I ask, or I meet them there, I avoid paying a membership fee that way, too. I agree with you on the bargains a person can find there if they look hard--especially when the seasons change. Last year I got son 3 sweatshirts, really nice--for $1 each.

Awesome! I haven't seen anything that cheap, but the summer clothes were moving out the door. I saw a lady loading up a cart with them. I figured I should grab some before she took them all.. Costco is more organized than SAM's and has a better variety, and addtional services like their optical and automotive onsite.

@snowy22315 I think we got lucky that day. Son in law bought himself several and some for the kids, too. That $1 tag was too tempting for him to pass up, and he isn't an impulse shopper. I do have to agree that Costco is way more organized and efficient than Sam's.

I don’t, but my dad belongs to Sam’s Club. He’s been a member since I can remember. Until about five years ago we didn’t even have a Costco near here.

I had a membership to Sam's for a brief time. It's OK, but I like Costco better.

Hubby and I used to belong to Sam's Club but not anymore. I'm glad you found some bargains.

I don't think Sam's offers quite as much for the membership as Costco, but there overall prices might be less
