And just like that,August is drawing to a close. It went by fast. The weather these past two weeks has been fabulous with more to come. We rarely get beautiful days like this around here. I am basking in everyone. The special treat is the low humidity. I have felt like I died and went to heaven. Do you have any plans this Labor Day weekend?

Good morning.
It is a sunny, mild and blue sky day here today too-my kind of weather for sure.
I will have Monday off for the holiday, which is why I booked my week's vacay just before that.
We are going to a birthday party on Sunday, that will be our outing for the weekend.
The hostess used to run a catering business, and she always puts out a huge and delicious spread of delicious foods.
At the very least, she always has half a dozen large pizzas there for anyone who doesn't like homemade dishes.

Sounds like a blast. I will check out a Labor Day festival in the park today. I need to find out when the guy is available to cut the grass as well

@snowy22315 Yeah, it should be.
I hope to get over to our son's place some time today though.
The girls told them a few times every day this week how much they missed Grandpa, and they should be able to see him in person, at home, before going to the party and seeing him there.
When I watched them for 1 day, he stopped in on his way back into town, and they were so happy to see him that they were practically crying-with tears of happiness. I just don't want a display like that at the party.

@LadyDuck Yep, 75 to 80 warm and sunny..I would be in hog heaven if that was the weather all year round.

My husband is working today and we don’t have his new schedule yet. The way they do his schedule makes it hard to plan things. We think he has tomorrow off.

@snowy22315 We are going back the end of September. Even though he requested time off and it was just approved yesterday. We won’t know the exact day we leave until he gets his schedule for the week before. It may allow for us to leave a day or two early.

We were supposed to have our Labor Day get-together at my great-aunt's house on Sunday, but she sorta cancelled it. Her brother had to go to the hospital. But on Sunday she said my cousin would be over for lunch so I decided to go over to see my other cousin too.

Cousin #2 will be coming to do her usual since she has no plans. She is bringing me a DQ chicken strips basket since there's no Meals on Wheels.
