Here I sit in my rented cottage. The owner, after giving me a bewilderment of directions, sent me the post (zip) code but said not to use it because it would take me to someone else’s house. So I followed my nose and got here, so proving my Irish credentials. I didn’t look out for the pine tree he suggested as a landmark which is just as well because there aren’t any.
It’s a beautiful house, old fashioned but with all mod cons and three lavatories. Sheep in the garden and only the sound of the wind to assault my ears.
Last night we stayed in a hotel in Galway. Dreadfully characterless as hotel chains are. The stately and flustered looking lady who got out of the elevator before we got into it had obviously broken wind with gusto between floors.
And now for dinner.

@looeyville There was a coach of American tourists staying at the hotel and one lady had fallen and hurt her leg. I thought of you.

Talking about directions I was once told there will be a goat tied to a tree
