A day with the Grandkids

So, we picked up the Grandkids today and had to run some errands.
The new school term starts next week and they both needed stationery…..in my day the school provided pens and pencils …..
The Grandaughter also needed school shoes and a school bag.
Easy enough you would think …..but at 9 she is getting into fashion and of course shoes for school have to be practical not fashionable.
She did manage to find a suitable pair though ….eventually !
She found a back pack too …..£33….then went to Asda and saw some for £13 !!!
After our shopping trip we had time for a treat if KFC as requested by the Grandson.
I love spending time with them …..although they are growing up way too fast !

Excellent, thank goodness grandparents always know everything their grandchildren need. I really liked that the shoes should be appropriate and comfortable, regardless of whether they are fashionable or not, what is important. It's that they are functional since they spend many hours at school and it's great that they treated themselves and their grandchildren to KFC.
