David "Bean" Coffee was riding a wave in New Smyrna Beach Florida on Tuesday August 26 when he saw a father and son struggling to stay afloat.
David decided to make an attempt to save the father and son by using his surfboard to rescue the son first and then after he went on his surfboard to the father who was in the water.
What made the rescue great was that David is 72 years of age which show the saying "Age is just a number."
Both swimmers are grateful that David rescued them in their time of need,

Of course, David would make that attempt. Age is just a number. What a great story!

It is not clear in the news if father and son were swimming or if they were shipwrecked in a boat or perhaps the father went in to save his son.And both of them were then trapped within the waves, the important thing is that they are both alive and that this wonderful young man heroically allows them a second chance.

That was a brave effort for someone who is 72. Age IS just a number.
