I just watched the interview with Emma Willis on Hulu. Emma and Bruce Willis: The Unexpected Journey-- A Diane Sawyer Special. I cried. His wife, Emma, is a real trooper. She and his too younger daughters have some moments occasionally where Bruce will talk like he has no dementia. But I guess those times are fleeting. And Emma said the girls are really stepping up and being there for their dad. How very sweet.
I wanted to see why she made the decision to set up a second home for him. I wondered what the reasoning was for it. But it seems that it is safer for him. She said it was a very hard decision. But it gives him a place where his is safe and well cared for, and it gives his daughter their space as well. So that is nice. I'm glad I watched it. He used to be so charismatic, funny, goofy and full of life. It is truly very sad to see this man break down and be taken over by this awful dementia.
The specialist who diagnosed him said you could see in the scan that was done that a lot of the frontal lobe was gone. How awful.
The last question Diane asked Emma was to finish the phrase 'Love is..." She did very well. I'm glad that she is such a good person and that such a sweetheart as Bruce is being well taken care of and loved.
Love is kind, love is sweet.

Dementia is a horrible thing. If my husband had lived, there would probably be more and more times that he didn't know me. I'm glad Bruce is getting excellent care.

That would be awful. I believe my paternal grandmother had dementia. Back before it had a name. She didn't know me when I was taken to visit her.

@celticeagle On the last day that my husband was conscious, he didn't know I was in the room and pulled his hand away from mine. Sad.

There are some ailments that are terrible. We see them when there are celebrities with them but there are lots of people who end up with a long illness.

Yes, sad to see people aging in this way.

It is a shame to see someone as great as Bruce Willis getting very ill due to the aging process.

The passage of time is unforgiving and it is shocking how the actors whose films we grew up watching are inevitably aging.I remember that Bruce Willis was an extremely attractive man, his gaze was quite penetrating.

Yes, and he loved life, had a personality to match. To see all that gone is very sad.
