The rain and the wind were fierce this morning but it didn’t stop us from worshipping at the small Church in which my wife’s parents were wed in 1954 down here in the good County of Cork. First time we’ve been there and out of the 12 people met for worship my wife turned out to be related to 6 of them.
The house we are staying in continues to offer great comfort which is important given the state of the weather, and this evening we stayed in and played a few board games.
One of the toilets has an unfortunate layout however, the details of which I hesitate to mention in mixed company but I will anyway. Bang opposite the throne is a full length mirror. As soon as you have yourself installed and settled you look up and there you are, imagined in all your splendour. It’s really quite shocking. The flush however is vigorous and comprehensive. I like that in a toilet.

I believe that would be quite shocking to see yourself seated on the throne... I wouldn't like that but do appreciate a toilet that works well.

I like a toilet that works well; but I wouldn't enjoy the mirrors.
