I can't find my work ID

I have no idea where it could be. I just keep it in my purse when I'm not wearing it. If anything it would have wound up in my big Land's End work tote bag that I use to carry my purse, lunch, Stanley tumbler, and whatever else to work. Nope and nope. I did recently toss an older tote bag that was shredding but it wouldn't have been in there because that's the one I used last year for my pool stuff. This year I was using the ugly Bogg bag and I had it for all of the previous school bag. I'm not worried about not being recognized at work. This is my 22nd year in that school. The ID has a chip in it though that allows me to enter a pin at 2 doors which unlock them. For the past 2 days I've had to wait for someone to come by to let me in. So I guess I'm going to have to buy a new one. It is like $5 or $10 or something which isn't a big deal but it still annoys me. I've had it for years. This is the first time I've lost it. I shouldn't have to pay for another one. . . but I have to.
