Sure Can Tell It's Friday

I woke feeling pretty good. Got a good night's sleep and had a good drink of water to start the day. Then the mail came and I checked my emails. Wrong move on my part apparently. My email had a bill in it for $15 from my doctor's clinic. Apparently they charged me this time for having a nurse come out to gather blood. They never have before. Interesting. I called the Health Services office and made it clear I can't pay it by October 2nd since I don't get my check until the 3rd. The woman kept giving me a wrong date and made it much more complex that it needed to be. They don't charge a late fee so I will get the whopping $15 to them as soon after the 3rd as I can. It always scares me a bit to get a medical bill even for that amount. It always reminds me of the scene in "Murphy's Romance" when Sally Field's character is in the hospital and Jame Garner's character has gone to visit her. She's crying and he offers her a hospital Kleenex and she cries, "They want $3 for that!" The mail brought the letter I've been waiting for from H&W. The annual recertification for Medicaid for the kids was done wrong. I've only been doing it for ten or more years now but, things change. Now they have a entire page on the back of the usual information page that has to be initialed and signed. They never have done that before. So, I went over it all with my daughter and had her initial it all and her and the grand son signed it. I am my daughter's payee, so I have to be aware of and do all the paperwork for her. It's a real fun time. NOT!! So, my Friday morning has been delightful. I hope you are all having a good end to the week and will enjoy a nice weekend. Take care.
