It is interesting to listen to different people with different accents, while talking in English.
It has all to do with the language of that country that dictates how they speak We have several dialects here in India and those who speak in their mother tongue regularly are affected when they speak in English So is the case with for example whose language is French Iralian or whatever
I had dedicated this video to myLotters years ago where you can hear me speak
Would love to hear you speak, as well

I like your voice there.
. Yes, people get accent. Even in India where people speaking English have British influence. But still each state brings a different flavor.

You’re right, accents are such an interesting reflection of our native languages. They give so much character and identity to the way people speak English. It must have been lovely for myLotters to hear your voice in that video. I think it would be fun if more of us shared recordings – it makes the community feel even more personal.

You sound like an Indian and I hear that accent a lot whenever I talk to call-centres “over here”.
I’ve got what we call a “Geordie” accent, so you’d probably struggle to understand me.

There are as many accents as there are States here but my accent has nothing to do with the State I belong to It is my own style.
I have a friend from the UK and it is difficult to understand her. Why you guys make it difficult is a million dollar question
.I worked for a multi national for 23 years and that explains why I developed an accent that has nothing to do with the State I belong to

@allknowing You are very clear and easy to understand. That is often not the case here in the UK, the home of the English language.
