Read it But Could Not Believe It

I was reading an article that listed all the favorite foods of Presidents of the United States. Back in the beginning they were mostly grits lovers, things from that time period, and Abraham Lincoln liked bacon. Reagan was a jellybean lover. Biden is more health conscious but enjoys Italian food. But the one that really gagged me was what Richard Nixon liked. Get a loud of this one......He enjoyed cottage cheese and CATSUP. Oh, my goodness. I don't care for catsup at all. I do enjoy mustard though.

My son-in-law is from MS and still loves grits. Cottage cheese and catsup is a bit odd. I have added marinara sauce, cheese and pepperoni and heated up. Pretty good that way.

I've seen grits and had a bad experience with some when I was in New Mexico. No thanks! It looks nasty. That on cottage cheese?

Catsup(ketchup) is a tomato based, sweet condiment made from ripe tomatoes, vinegar, sugar and some spices. It is used on American fast food hamburgers along with mustard, mayonnaise, etc.

That is an unusual combination and hard to believe it's a favourite when there are so many other delicious foods out there!

I've never eaten lasagna. Not big on Italian food. The kids like it.
