Tried a New Menu Item at our Regular Restaurant Today

I'll mention the restaurant because @FourWalls lives in my city and she'll recognize the name. They used to be The Goose Creek Diner because they were on Goose Creek Road, but they moved and changed their name to Goose Hangout and Eatery. Anyway . . . they're offering a new "Fall" menu inspired by football tailgating. We tried the pulled pork quesadillas and boy were they good! Just the right flavor of barbecue sauce, not too much, and onions and it was perfect. I'm glad we tried it. What new foods have you tried lately?

I don’t think I’ve tried any completely new foods lately. I’ll try escargot on the upcoming cruise. Caviar is good, so fingers crossed for the snails. Do you like escargot?

I sort of tried it once but not really. I was afraid it'd be slimy. They serve it smothered in butter sauce on toast points and when I took a tiny forkful to try I think all I got was butter and toast.

@LooeyVille It’s going to be harder to get down than caviar. However, when my niece was twelve, she tried it. Now she wants me to, and I don’t want to disappoint her.

No new foods, but Republic of Tea sent me a sample of s’mores tea, and it was delicious!

I cannot think of anything new right at this time. I would have eaten the quesadillas. It sounds good.

No new foods here except for the Crabby Stuffed Mushrooms at Red Lobster that were much too salty. I should have told the manager about them.

I can't think of any "new" foods I have tried lately. But those quesadillas sound awesome. I keep wanting to put quesadillas on my "things to make" list, but I don't do it because I keep forgetting I want to do it. Maybe soon.

Must have been a nice experience. I don't really like trying new menus, unless they are made with beef, chicken and a few other ingredients.
