So, of course there was the recent Powerball jackpot of $1.8 billion, and of course I played. I don't think I went too crazy. I played all of my plays in Illinois, but of course, someone won in Missouri, across the river as well as Texas.
On one of the days when my wife was in Missouri, I told her to stop and buy a ticket and she didn't do it, saying, "I was just too tired," and of course, I joked to her that the gas station she drove past was the one that won.
Of course, who knows if it was. It probably wasn't. But the chide and the joke wouldn't have worked. It could have been anywhere in Missouri.
There were two $1 million winners in Illinois as well. I finished checking all of my tickets. $26 worth. Most without the power play option, but 2 were those $3 tickets I grabbed from misprinted tickets.
I won nothing at all. Not one single penny. Oh well. It was fun, but that's the lottery for you.

It's the prospect of possibility and sitting back a bit to dream a little. If I couldn't afford it, that would be one thing. But I can, and the way I think about it, I think nothing of going to a casino and dropping $200, so...
What's a couple of bucks here and there that could potentially change my life?

Yep that's why I don't play, I rather play at a casino if I was
wanting to win some $, but hey, we can't win them all if any at all.

Cousin #2 didn't buy the tickets. Can you imagine that?
