So on Saturday I wasn’t around very much and that is because we went out for the day. We didn’t know about this event until the Friday so it was a very very last minute decision for us. The Mister bought tickets online , and ordered a programme for the event too.
Anyway, we went to …..
The 50th Annual Malpas Yesteryear Rally.
So basically, this was a celebration of all things steam and agricultural. There were steam engines , big and small, and tractors a plenty.
Lots of agricultural items to see and some to buy ….yes we did buy a few things.
There were old / classic buses and Lorrie’s and also some classic cars too.
We had a pasty each as we were walking around ….there was so much to see and we didn’t want to miss anything.
So, what did we buy ….
Two door knobs ….
An antique fire extinguisher …
A small pitch fork…..
We had a great day and we are pleased that we went ….
Last minute decisions, and events never been to before ….can sometimes work out well.

Our city has an antique car show coming up... I like cars but am not a car nut. I can admire nice looking cars when I see them on the streets but am not interested in seeing a parking lot full of them.
I'm glad you two had a good time.

@Traceyjayne Yeah, most kids wouldn't think that was a good time. IF there are good munchies there, we might go long enough to grab some good snacks but that's the only reason we'd go. (The antique car show is held in a park a few blocks from our house.)

We did think that there would be more cars. I love the old ones from the 20’s and 30’s. The Mister likes the more modern ones. My Mom has a cousin who has several classic cars and they do show them sometimes….we are trying to get to one of the shows where they are showing , but so far we have either been at the caravan or got the Grandkids ….and they would be bored !

@DaddyEvil there was food but you would have to sell a kidney to be able to afford a lot…..and the kids would just pick at it anyway …..

@traceyjayne You know I’ve never seen the word ‘Lorries’ written down till now. It looks wrong with a y in it somehow

@Traceyjayne Although you had an erroneous apostrophe, the plural of lorry is definitely lorries. Same as baby or worry. Carry on!

@Orson_Kart I wonder is an erroneous apostrophe is worrisome as a strangulated hernia. Certainly worse than a dehydrated hip.

I'm glad you had such a good time. I'm not very spontaneous.
