My visit to the US covinced me that everything is big in the US. I have talked about onions. I was with my nephew and they get their milk in cans - litres and litres that just does not get finished Forget about tea and coffee - huge cups or mugs Have you ordered for pizzas there? So huge that one just cannot finish it - not even Americans!!! I love their homes - spacious. Beauitful memories indeed

It’s true, I gain weight so effortlessly over there because their portions are massive enough to sustain a small village—and I savor every glorious bite! Then, when I return home, the servings here feel like they were crafted for toddlers hosting an imaginary tea party by comparison.

@rsa101 I love your descriptions. My husband was ill so he isn't eating as much now. When we order food from a restaurant, we order one meal instead of two. The food lasts us for about 3 days.

@sallypup The first time I went there, I immediately noticed the pizza offerings were enormous—about three times the size of what we get back home. When we ordered food, the portions were so large they easily fed me, my wife, and my son.

One large pizza makes eight meals for me. I cook the pizza, cut it into eight slices and store seven of them in plastic bags so I can eat one slice every day! All-Meat pizzas are the best! I'm glad you enjoyed some things in the US.

@allknowing Yes, often you can ask the waitress for a doggie bag and have another meal at home of restaurant foods.

The US doesn't use the Metric system, their milk is sold by the gallon.

I agree. Coffee from places like Starbucks comes in large sizes. I order the 12 ounce size and its plenty.
