Great British Bake Off …..what’s your best bake ?

So I am watching week two of The Great British Bake Off ….although the contestants are given challenges , it has made me wonder ….
Do you bake ?
Would you enter a competition ?
What would be your best bake ?
For me ……
Yes I really enjoy baking but I would not enter a competition. Either on or off the television.
My favourite bakes would be ….
Lemon drizzle
Pumpkin
Banana bread

I have lots of things I enjoy baking. If I really wanted to impress someone I'd make the "Ultimate Fluffy Moist Ridiculous Coconut Cake". Everyone raves about that. It is a lot of work but worth it. Or I'd make the Milk Bar Birthday Cake. That one also is work but worth it.

I’m not a huge fan of coconut but it does sound delicious.

@Traceyjayne Oh and a Dundee cake. I like a Dundee cake with a cup of tea. Coffee and walnut - my wife makes that superbly.

I'm afraid I'm not a baker. I haven't baked in ages...and the last thing I think I might have baked was chocolate chip cookies.

Yes, I bake. No, I wouldn't enter any competitions. What I normally bake and even what I used to bake are good home cooked meals.
I used to bake several different types of bread and still bake different meats and veggies. I enjoy making food and sharing it with friends.

@Traceyjayne I LOVE breads, especially homemade breads. (I never could bake a loaf of bread. It would still be raw in the center when the bread outside was done and golden brown.) I started making rolls all the time instead of baking loaves. I like making drop rolls as well as fry bread.

I entered my banana bread at the county fair years ago. I didn't win. I can't cook or bake anymore.

I love baking too! I’ve thought about entering a competition, but I think I’d rather just bake for fun and share with friends and family. My best bake would probably be a rich chocolate cake or maybe cinnamon rolls; they always go fast! I enjoy experimenting with flavors, especially around the holidays. Lemon drizzle sounds amazing, and I’m a big fan of banana bread as well. Pumpkin’s a seasonal favorite in my kitchen too!
