Is It Okay to Splurge a Little?

Money has been tight for several months now. I've sorted of been living on a tight budget.
It also didn't help that my business just took a nosedive and didn't respond to any of the solutions I tried to implement.
All of a sudden, I get a somewhat huge amount from a property sale, divided four ways.
I can afford a few nice things now, but I feel guilty spending. There are always bills to be paid.
I keep thinking "What if"?

If you do not have an emergency fund that has at least 6 months of expenses in it, then no. You cannot afford to splurge. If you do not have a substantial retirement fund started, then no. You cannot afford to splurge. If you have debts that need to be paid, then no. You cannot afford to splurge.
You can only splurge when the rest of your financial house is well in order. If it is not, your first priority is to get it in order.

So many of us struggle right now, I completely understand how hard it can be. Pay your bills first. If there is anything left after bills, put some back for another time that you might need it, especially if your business is failing. I know all about the ''what if?'' thoughts...it's not fun.

Pay your bills first, then spend a little of what’s left …..
