There's Still Always Prep

The camper we have is sort of "built in," when it comes to what's inside that we need. We keep clothes in there, for example. Towels and rags. The scissor legged grill is in the pass through. There are certain seasonings we keep, and the pots and pans and other necessities.
But we still have to pack things. Chairs. The smaller propane tanks for the grill. Changes of clothes since we bring things back to wash. Certain food items and condiments like butter or margarine, beer, sodas, ketchup, mustard, water etc.
Most of the major food stuffs we get when we get to the site and usually stop into the local Walmart wherever we are.
The truck has to be loaded. I like to gas up. We take a certain amount of cash with us. No matter how "self-contained" the camper happens to be, there's still always some sort of prep that has to happen before a trip, so, the day of and the day before can usually be quite full.

Sounds like you've gotten it all down to a science for your camping adventures.

And we would have had a tendency to take MORE crap because there's more room than in a car!
