It's going to kill me to pay a lot of money for a pair of shoes.
I'm used to $49 or $59 shoes.
The ones the podiatrist want me to get are going to be at least $120.
But I do know that you have to invest in your feet because they carry your whole body. And apparently I'm going to be prone to fractures due to my high arches and I'm getting older which means bone loss.
I've GOT the money for the shoes, but I hate to PAY that much money for the shoes. Does that make sense to you? Naturally, I'd rather spend my money on other things. But I preach about people who spend money on crap and then complain about having to pay for their medication, so I won't be a hypocrite.
The doctor gets nothing out of telling me which brand(s) to buy, so I trust that he knows how the shoes are built and their quality and is steering me right. He recommends: Hoka, Saucony, New Balance, Brooks, and something else I don't remember.
What kind of tennis shoes do you wear?

I don't spend much on shoes. But hubby bought some slip ins and loves them. He hated the price when we bought them.

Right now I am wearing barefoot shoes which are supposed to be good for your feet. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I also have a standard pair of sneakers, they aren't brand name, but are durable.

I’m not really into brands either. As long as the shoes are sturdy and comfortable, that’s all that matters to me.

Pretty fractured a bone in one of her feet. The podiatrist told her to get inserts for her shoes. Those cost $150 for the pair but she can still wear the shoes she already had.
I hope they have something you like.
I usually buy my shoes at Walmart and pay around $30 for a pair of (I had to look and see what the brand name is on them.
) And1... They're comfortable and last me a long time. I know I've had several pair that lasted 3 to 4 years each.

I am not into expensive and fancy items. But yes, what is good for my health is worth the price be it the food or footwear. I don't own a huge collection but only two or three pairs. They are all comfortable and bit high on price. But they last long. I stay on my feet a lot and my feet deserve the best.

Just now
I would pay that much for a good pair that will last. I wear Propet shoes which run around $65-75 or so. They last me a long time.
