The Mister and the break pads

So, it is Friday and The Mister is on his way home.
Great, we have a few extra hours together …right ….wrong !
Why so ?
Because he has to take his work van into the garage to get the break pads changed !
Yes, in his own time !
This happens way too often for my liking.
He doesn’t get paid if he doesn’t work so every time he has to take his van to the garage he is losing money…..
Do they think about that ?
NO
Do they care about that ….?
NO
Okay ….rant over …..
But, finally do you think it’s fair ?

Does the van belong to your hubby? If it does, then yes, that's fair... If it doesn't, then why isn't the company getting the work done while he's off doing something else? Maybe that's something he needs to take up with his boss.

No, it’s a company van.
That’s what I think …..when he is working the van is just sitting there from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm…..surely they could get someone to collect it and return it after the work has been completed.
It happen a few weeks ago with the MOT, and again when there was a problem with the battery !

@Traceyjayne Is your hubby part owner of the company? If so, then that's just part of doing business... If not, then they're just getting free time/labor and that's actually illegal, at least in the US.
