Life changes

I'm a little old to be realizing this, but nothing in life stays the same.
Not health, wealth, or relationships.
Sometimes in our early adult years, life gets a little predictable and we don't think about change.
They seem to happen more often the older we get. Is your life the way it was five years ago? Five months ago?
I think health changes are the most influential for many people. Some days I think, "I did this, ate this, moved this a month ago. How come I can't do it now?"
Relationships change. We lose loved ones...friends move away...kids grow up and start their own lives.
It just occured to me this week that we'll never go to Japan. Too late now. It was a "You should have seen that one coming", but it was still a shock.
I guess the moral to this post is live life the very best you can within your circumstances. Remember something old, try something new.
Have you seen a lot of changes lately? I know many of you have. May God bless you every one.

@1creekgirl No, we certainly wouldn’t. I’m so thankful.

I know you understand, Amber. Don't think we'd get through this world without Jesus.

Life is so short and we never know what the future holds or just how short our lives may be. Doing all we can while alive to experience good things are so important.
With my little one in pre-k the bus picks her up at 10:45 or so. If I drive her she doesn’t have to be there until 11:30. That time with her is so precious. I’ve trying to find as much to do together as possible for quality time and for her to have fun before and after school. I miss her being home with me all day.

I know you miss her, but glad you still have special times with her.

@1creekgirl yes next year she will be full day in school and life will change even more. I’m so blessed to be her mom and have my other children.

Yes, I can tell my health is going downhill quickly. I have a lot more pain and now I have to deal with kidney disease and borderline diabetes. I'm glad hubby and I did the traveling we did when we were younger.

I'm glad you all were able to travel, but sorry your health is getting worse.

I don't know, I guess we just believe we'll live forever.

Each year is different, each day.... we do our best to live one day at a time.

I started to realize this too within the last 5 years.
I am trying to do what I can when I can do it.
I love the flexibility that my employer offers that I can leave work early on some days if I would like to go and play with the girls or experience something else.

I'm currently in that fairly stable mid-life phase when things seem to stay pretty much the same. I know things will change and I just dread getting old. I see people who used to be healthy and vigorous deteriorating and it's so sad, I know it will happen to us all but I just can't imagine exactly how it will happen - as you say, how will I not be able to do something one day that I could do the day before? It's just impossible to really visualise, but I guess I will find out soon enough.

I don't think we'll ever fly overseas again - no more visiting France or Ireland so that's a bit sad.
