Roast lamb and cookie pud !

Today, as it’s Sunday it is roast dinner day. Today we had roast lamb, mashed potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, fine green beans and gravy. Obviously, as it’s lamb there has to be mint sauce. I love mine thick and mixed into the mashed potato…..that’s why it has to be mash when it’s lamb.
For pudding my Mom made what we call ‘ cookie pud ‘.
It is made with choc chip cookies dipped in sherry and layered with dream topping ….and other things which I can’t say as it’s a family secret recipe. It is my favourite pudding in the world. And my Mom makes it the absolute best.

Honestly it is the best. Mom’s cousins made up the recipe . I have it for every special occasion….and every now and again she will make it as a surprise.

I so miss the lovely Sunday dinners there. Roast lamb..havent had that in years now.
The lamb here is blah..don't like the taste of it.
Today I made home made macaroni..cheesy and lovely.

I had a Meals on Wheels meal from the freezer. Sweet and sour chicken, Brussels sprouts and carrot. I also had a peach cup.
