Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. It is 75 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. I'll take it!
I was up early this morning. I got some stuff done but eventually wound up taking a nap. I woke up around 2pm and texted my ex to see if the Jets were losing. He replied "spectacularly". I said "well then all is right with the world". My dad was a long-suffering Jets fan.
I assembled the apple pie yogurt parfaits for this week's breakfasts. The cream cheese plugs (bacon/scallion and cucumber/dill) are in the freezer. Next up will be packing my bento box lunchbox for tomorrow. Then I'll get around to baking the bagel bombs and making dinner.
My ex said he would be here either tomorrow or Wednesday after work to put up the new TV. I'm kind of salty that he didn't do it this morning but I really shouldn't be because he is going to help me and I certainly can't do it by myself.
For now I am going to start making a Kahoot (online quiz game) for the students to review for Tuesday's test. I'm not one to do work when I'm not at work but here we are. *sigh*
What's everyone else up to this afternoon?

Your day sounds similar to mine as far as the weather is concerned-love this time of the year.
We had to turn the a/c on because I got over heated making brunch and got shaky and had to lie down-don't get old.
I would love your parfait recipe.
I have an apple crisp in the oven, and is that scent ever filling the place with a delicious enticing scent.

The cooked apple mixture is based on this recipe from Skinnytaste. I don't use raisins though. I do a layer of the applesauce, then Greek yogurt, then more applesauce, and then some diced fresh Granny Smith apples. I top with some granola for extra crunch. For the week I just make little baggies of granola to take along each day and then add so it doesn't turn to mush.
If you love apple pie, you've got to try this amazing breakfast recipe for Cinnamon Apple Yogurt Bowls! It's a healthy breakfast that's perfect for fall!

I follow a fellow in Edmonton, who, while he was building his house, spent a very hot summer and decided they needed air conditioning. I got a bad case of shakes yesterday, but I think it was low blood sugar. Once I figured it out and carefully took in enough sugar, very slowly, I got to feeling better. For a non-diabetic I have a lot of trouble with low blood sugar.

Well, it is just after 3 p.m. - that would be 4 your time - and it is 96º. Which is better than 103º. Up until the end of August we have had a remarkably cool summer, but then we started tipping over those 100º marks. The last time I was in New Jersey it was in June of 2007. My mother, brother and I flew up to NJ because our first cousin, Mom's brother's only child, had passed away. Mom, my sister and her partner and I stayed at Harrah's. My brother stayed with Dad's brother's widow who lived in Little Egg Harbor. Our cousin actually lived in Little Egg Harbor Township. I hadn't been to sure about Mom traveling, the strokes that had made things bad were just getting worse. In fact, my sister told me that she was sure that Mom could not travel anymore. (I had thought that when we went up to Christmas when my brother still lived in Colorado.) We did get out on the boardwalk one night and it was so nice with the cool wind off the ocean. I am looking forward to days in the 80s, I'm not a fan of hot weather. We did meet up with our cousin, Dad's brother's girl, the other was in Florida. There are things I like in New Jersey, but it can be hard to pass up a winter that normally only goes below freezing a few days at a time.

I finally fell asleep today around 2 pm and slept until after 7 pm this evening. It was hot here at 93F and is still warm at 8:30 pm at 84F. At least we're looking at storms this week that are supposed to drop the temps here. I hope.
