We've Decided to Sell all of our CD's and DVD's

United States

Hubby collected them. I did not. We do not own a CD or DVD player. Nor do we own a VHS tape player. There's no reason for them to just sit here collecting dust. Sure, we'll only get probably 25 cents for each $10-$15 CD/DVD but it is what it is. Hubby's going to make that his next project when I'm on my next cruise in about 40 days.

Yes with no CD or DVD player than it makes no sense to keep the CD's and DVD's.

I’d it Iceland you’re going to? A couple in my church just back from there, they said it was absolutely unreal. And oddly, that chicken is rare. I guess lamb is really popular, which shouldn’t be a surprise. But they went on an on about the land.

I went to Iceland back in May. In October I'm going to some places in the Caribbean

I hope that you can find a market for them. Not many have those players anymore.

If you haven't got any way of watching or listening to them then they are not much use are they?

Hubby had two huge boxes of DVDs in his room. Most are still in the package. I hate to donate them and wished there was somewhere I could sell them online. I know I can sell them on Amazon; but that means a lot of packaging and finding someone to take them to the post office for me. Probably more trouble than it's worth.

I still have a DVD Room for PC but I never use it anymore because people rarely sell DVDs/CDs.

Have you considered going to someplace like Half Pice Books and seeing what they’ll give you? Probably not much, but it’ll save the aggravation.

Hopefully there might be some people willing to pay a reasonable price.

We usually do garage sales at least once a year. There was one time I decided to let go of our DVDs and CDs—about 98% of them! I put them all out for sale and they were gone in no time! I only kept a few that were really special and our absolute favorites.

Good idea, no point keeping things you can’t play anymore.

My neighbor had a lot of DVD's she didn't watch anymore. She asked at the nursing home/assisted living place nearby and they were thrilled to have them for the residents to have movie nights.

You can buy a DVD that you can attach to your PC and watch them,
