Firefighters with the Modesto Fire Department in California answered an emergency call from a resident that saw a kitten tied up on a soccer net in the back yard of the resident.
The residents had attempted to rescue the kitten at first but when they attempted to cut through the net.
The problem was that the kitten was tied with ten inches of netting which required the firefighters to use trauma shears to carefully remove the net from the kitten who was released from the net that caught the animal.
The kitten fled the scene as soon as the kitten was free from being in the net safe and sound.

@Deepizzaguy Every time I hear about a feral kitten I like to go and look at my very brave feral kitten... not so little now. When he first came in, I could only pet his back and it was that way for a long time, but now he's starting to let me scratch his back and up under his chin and around his neck. I still have to be careful. He actually tried to play with me tonight, but... those nails are a nightmare!
