I love to watch TV in the evening. I watch movies, series, and documentaries. I grew up watching television back when westerns were so popular and you got many live shows back then too. Jack Benny, Betty White, Steve Allen, and many more. Back in the 50s before technology was what it is today.
Now days the apps are our entertainment. We don't go out to bowl or any community events. We don't go to movies although my grandson is a real superhero fan. I think the only time we would go to a theater now is for an epic superhero movie. The last time we went to a theater was to see one of the first Thor movies back in about 2011. Something about the big screen. But, now with the size of in-home televisions it nearly the same.
I figure it this way: We don't go out into the world and if we went to a theater to see a movie it would cost us three about $50-$60 and even more if it was an IMAX. I pay $76 a month for 6 TV apps. (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO MAX, Paramount+ and Philo) On one I am a member of a club where I get to see new movies as they are being developed and then I give my opinion of them. On another I get most all of the channels I had when I had cable and was paying $250 a month for and only pay one tenth of that now. The others have series on them which I have gotten interested in like Dexter, Elsbeth, The Night Agent, Ginny & Georgia, The Gilded Age, Nobody Wants This, Strange new Worlds, and The Hunting Wives. Many have old TV shows on them that I can watch again and enjoy. And yes, there are a lot of free apps to watch too. I still watch HSN, and QVC and am still a fan. I can see movies on Freevee, Plex, Tubi, and Pluto TV. They also have some live channels with monster movies (MONSTER) and two that show vintage movies which I love. It's so funny to watch old monster movies like I used to when I was 9 years old and had to share the TV with my mean stepbrother.
So there you have my TV insanity. I know most of you have lives that take you venture outside of your homes, and you have cars to get there. We don't! We very rarely go anywhere. Mostly only to doctor's appointments or to the Dollar Store (my daughter loves to go there.). So having television is a great outlet for me and searching for a movie to watch or whatever gives me something to do. And my research keeps me busy too. It's like my hobby.

I am so glad to know that you have this valuable resource to have a bit of entertainment.
Other than going for walks, movies and shows I also watch when I like to. Mostly in the evenings.
My television has so much on it free apps that I do not have to pay for any streaming apps.
And of course YouTube is great for free stuff movies and shows too.
Glad you no longer have to pay for cable.

There are a lot of free ones to enjoy. I am a very good fan of YouTube. I watch it daily. Yes, that cable bill was getting way out of Wack. Now we are with an entirely new company for our internet. I got tired of having to call them annually to get a decent price. Now we pay the same price each month as long as we have the service. It doesn't go up every other month like the other did.

Its not safe out there so do not blame you, we stay home most days too. I die on days when there is no good shows, I can fall back on sports but need my shows.

Yeah, the more we stay in the more we want to. We hear too much of the horror Trump is causing and how the country is going.

I don’t have any subscription services. I just watch sunsets on live webcams. Lots of reading and researching and documentary watching for me.

TV and the internet are my sources of entertainment. Maybe when I get my new glasses I will start reading again.

We dropped cable TV for streaming. Streaming is a whole lot better and cheaper to.

It's good you're able to do this when your other options, as in going places, is limited.
