Oh, darn, too bad it’s Monday.
But I can’t plan these things as I muddle through the list of songs that aren’t made for dancing and rocking out. @rebelann complained (jokingly, of course) that all the rockers were making her chairs fall apart while she moved to them, so I decided to slow things down this month for her. I’m shipping 31 plastic chairs to her for next month, when she’ll be rocking so hard she’ll destroy one a day!
Here’s today’s song.
Ruby Tuesday - Rolling Stones
See you tomorrow.
This is simply an incredible song. Mick Jagger, although listed as co-writer (they do that with all their songs, the way Lennon and McCartney did), admitted that he had nothing to do with this song. Keith Richards wrote it for his girlfriend at the time.
And, if you watch the video, you will be shocked: that young kid playing the piano? That’s Keith Richards. See, he was young once.
Ruby Tuesday
Written by Keith Richards (credited to Jagger/Richards)
Recorded by The Rolling Stones
From Between the Buttons, 1967

This is definitely an “I can name that song in one note” song!
How’s your leg doing? And your foot?

@FourWalls You will NOT believe this . . . but I can't make this stuff up. Hubby has two broken toes on his left foot from stumbling into the ottoman while vacuuming. They're black and swollen. He refuses to go to doctor. I'm "okay"
