John Lewis, Gabe Record, and Damian Pond who are employees of the Glenwood based Leick Construction were at the right place at the right time on Monday September 15 when a house that was close to where they working on caught fire. The trio rescued a four year old girl, mother and a grandmother who were inside of the burning home safely before they realized that a male teenager was in danger of losing his life since he was inside of the second floor when the trio used a trampoline that was placed underneath the area where the teenager was located. The teenager jumped from the second floor to the ground floor safely. The trio were taken to a local hospital to be treated for burns suffered from the fire. Officials with the Glenwood Fire Department in Iowa want to honor the trio for their act of heroism even the trio insists that they are not heroes. Link is msn.com/en-us/health/m...

They certainly are heroes. And please, people, put smoke alarms in your home on both floors!

This story is proof that everything happens for a reason. Have a great day. I hope this will not be a traumatic experience for the trio, but will also inspire them to help those in need and inspire a lot of people to do it too.

There was a lot of fortunate happenings there. The workers were there, and able to help, and it just so happened there was a trampoline there that they could use too.
