Mike Leroy who is a firefighter in San Antonio Texas was at the right place at the right time on Tuesday August 12 when a 16 teen year old ice hockey player named Graedy Renmeka who suffered a heart attack while he was playing ice hockey with the Rampage Hockey team during practice. Mike used Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on Graedy for a period of 20 minutes when first responders came to take Graedy to a local hospital to have open heart surgery due to a heart defect at his birth. Mike was rewarded for his act of saving the life of the teenager on Monday by members of the ice hockey team. Link is msm.com/en-us/health/o...

In some ways, it was good that his heart defect was picked up, as if he did not know about it, he could have had a fatal attack, just about anywhere, and so it was lucky that the firefighter knew what to do here, and saved his life.
