Where to go for tea ?

This is turning out to be a regular dilemma for us. Friday night is usually takeaway night but sometimes we like to go out. Last Friday I had a 40% off meals voucher at a local pub, so we went there. However Moms food was not the greatest. Tonight I have a free pudding at the Carvery….although we usually are too full after the main that we can’t manage a pudding. Another pub is offering certain main meals for £6 …..The Mister and I went a couple of weeks ago and the portion sizes were quite small. I can get 20% blue light discount off at another pub, so that may be an option. Other than that it would be Chinese takeaway, fish and chips or KFC I wonder what we will end up with …. What are you having for tea tonight ?

I have ham thawed in the fridge, chicken strips in the fridge (Since we were both sick this week, we didn't eat the specials we bought. I froze those, too.) and frozen spiced French fries to go with whatever we choose. And you never know what we might bring home today when we're out shopping.

The ham and chicken both sound nice. I’m sure you will get something yummy when you go out shopping. Hope you are feeling better now. Those injections can leave annoying side effects …

@Traceyjayne Pretty always gets over the vaccinations faster than I do and yes, thank you, we're both feeling fine again now. I told Pretty I'd like to go to a drive-in restaurant and buy a burger, onion rings and a vanilla shake today. She said she'd like a shake, too. So we'll probably do that.

Whatever you decide I hope you enjoy your meal. Either way for me, go out or take out is fine if I don't have to cook. Tonight we're having chicken strips, baked potatoes and carrots.

We had risotto because we had some left from yesterday and there are only two of us here tonight. I had left-over baked beans and a sauteed courgette with mine.

I just had a sandwich and chips (not fries). I would vote for the Chinese! It's been ages since I had any.

It sounds like you still have a few options left.
