I just finished reading this (listening, actually, via a reader app). It was really quite good with loads of twists and turns to keep you thinking. It was great to have the culprit be a complete surprise. So many possible along the way through the story, but I wasn't ready for the reveal! I love the telepathic Jade. I love cats, I love Siamese and I like intelligence, which Jade has by the ton! I wish there were cats like her. There were a few bumps along the reading road when I got lost in the momentum of the story, having to relisten to part of it to see what I missed. That's not a bad thing other than it means a LOT of details are being presented in rapid succession. But, I enjoyed all of it! I'm looking forward to #2 now.

That does sound like a good book. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I went looking to see if the website I use to download ebooks has anything by that author and they don't. At least I tried.

Sounds like an interesting reading. I have two books and I will be preoccupied by them till this year end. And I have a few in the list to start for 2026. I don't get much time to read. And most of my reading time goes in reading related to my work.

The book sounds like it is a fun read. I love Siamese, too. I live with a seal point Siamese and a snowshoe mix Siamese. Both are quite touchy feely and intelligent.

Highly intelligent. Mostly. I had a pure Siamese in high school who had a few screws loose, but he was funny. Was afraid of my dad, but wanted to lay on someone so bad he'd wait until Dad fell asleep on the couch before gingerly stepping down on him from the back of the couch. Dad was awake but didn't move. Just watched him and got a kick out of it. I later had a snowshoe mix who was my BEST cat ever. There's no explaining how special he was. The Siamese in this story is a rare albino Siamese. Just an interesting twist in the characters.
