BAMBOO CHICKEN

This is the native dish of the tribal regions.Bamboo chicken is made by stuffing chicken pieces in bamboo shoots and marinating them with a flavourful blend of spices and herbs. The bamboo acts as a natural cooking vessel for this dish, infusing the chicken with a earthy aroma while retaining its natural juices.It was properly cooked inside. It has much craze here.Few travel miles for this bamboo chicken to have it in a perfect view point. I eat too spicy when it comes to meat.So I would say it is an average taste for me.May be low spice wantedly done to reflect the natural flavour of bamboo..anyways I cannot eat if I found the smell of flesh even a bit.I want meat to be completely cooked.And if not spiced well I can sense the smell of flesh..so it should be dominated by lemon and spices...But seriously I fall for the way they prepared.It is so interesting to watch that.They have cut and kept ready too many bamboo shoots and marinated chicken in their natural fridge like weather.Cooking process is too much time consuming.We cannot ask them to make it fast.They will get it raw instead.. every Bamboo chicken shop even small or big...were busy with too many customers. I have taken two shoots and added my own flavours extra to make it pleasing my tasty buds. Did you try this?

We don't cook bamboo chicken like that. I used to grow bamboo and cooked young shoots after cutting them up and adding them to foods I was cooking. It's good. I don't think I cooked it with chicken, though. I used pork and beef with bamboo shoots. I also cut bamboo shoots up in little disks and cooked it with noodles and cheese. That was really good, too. I hope you enjoy the meal.

@Kusumakrishna We don't have that type of bamboo here. The bamboo I grew here is smaller around so chicken wouldn't fit inside it.

Yes, when I was little, but since everything is electronics, I seldom eat chicken cook in a bamboo.

@Kusumakrishna I can't remember anymore, I was so little, but I remember the wonderful vibes while the whole family is cooking outside the house. It's lovely and warm, those were the days.

This is only found in certain areas, because generally where I live it is probably grilled with banana leaves.
