Ethiopia has a unique calendar that comes from the Coptic system. The Ethiopian calendar is unlike the international Gregorian calendar in that it consists of 13 months with 12 months of 30 days each and then a short month of 5 or 6 days depending on the leap year. So, their calendar runs 7 to 8 years behind the Gregorian calendar. Ethiopia entered 2018 on their New Year September 11, 2025. Twilight Zone- ish to me.

That would be a bit confusing.

It sure would. Especially if a person travelled back and forth between there and the U.S.

It would be very strange to go back to 2018.

Time is relative anyway... some days seem to zip by while others just drag on and on.

But a date can be very important in some instances.

I just read about that the other day. It is fascinating. I never knew that.
