When you set down to relax and watch a movie how do you chose which one you'll see? By genre, actor, storyline, franchises, reviews, friends or family advice? I quite often check the top ten on a given app. I also have a long add to list and I do like series. I tend to watch series that have already finished or are a limited series, so I don't have to wait. I like unique ones, so I spend a lot of time looking too. My favorite genres are thrillers and Cyber hacker stuff.
Last night I spent a long time looking. I found three that looked interesting. Watch a few minutes of each and found I had already seen them. I did finally find "Mr. Robot" on Netflix. It is a 4 season series, and I am loving it. The dialogue and the characters are so good. It is about a character named Elliot Alderson who is a cybersecurity tech by day and a hacker by night. He has social anxiety, clinical depression, dissociative personality disorder, and is taking morphine. He is "recruited by an insurrectionary anarchist known as "Mr. Robot", played by Christian Slater, to join a group of hacktivists called "fsociety". The group aims to destroy all debt records by encrypting the financial data of E Corp, the largest conglomerate in the world."
The creator is Sam Esmail. He ended the series at 4 seasons because he didn't want it to become stale and wanted it to come to a logical ending for the characters. I thought that was great. I want his number and will be watching for more by him in the future. He has come up with the greatest concept for a series. If you like unique, well written, well-acted 4 season series this one is for you.

I like horror movies that feature original characters like the Gill Man since I can relate to swimmers.

I'm usually drawn to romantic comedy and/or action thrillers

I like the occasional romance but love a good action thriller.

If the characters and the dialogue is good, then there should be some comedy.

@celticeagle I'm hesitant to call him and invite him over. Suppose he's really not interested in me? So embarrassing.
