We’re on a road trip with our motor-home. Our first stop was at a place called Chidlow which used to be an important stopping point for the old coal-driven trains.
The trains would stop to take on water for the next stage of their journey. While they were waiting, the passengers would be offered light refreshments such as tea, coffee, sandwiches, pies and pasties.
The photo shows a model of a train which is in the playground there.
From there we moved on, turned right instead of left at some point so changed our plans and ended up free-camping at Lake Ninan where we’ve stayed before. After such a wet winter, there is a lot of water in the lake so it looked very different to the last time we were there.

It makes one wonder how fast the AI tools are becoming better.
And if one can manage spending 100 USD per month on a few AI tools like Midjourney, Kling.AI etc, one can even make a small movie.

That is quite an interesting part of the history!
Is there any active Rail track in the vicinity of the area shown above?
Looking forward to you sharing the Lake Ninan image(s) as well.

There is a train that still goes through Chidlow and goes on to Merredin.

Wouldn't seem to be the safest thing for kids to play on, I know it is probably not encouraged, but kids will be kids..hard to stop them.

I loved the old steam trains. Today's modern ones aren't nearly as much fun.
