We don’t have too many plans for our road-trip and plenty of time, so we didn’t head off from Lake Ninan until about 10.00am.
Our first stop was at Wongan Hills. There were a lot of caravans and motor-homes in the main street which was good to see. The town was having a ‘A Salt, Sand and Shell’ exhibition of locally-made arts and crafts. There were some really lovely items to view and for sale but I’m trying to declutter so we just bought some raffle tickets and two pot-holders that will do for gifts maybe for Christmas.
We had a lovely chat with the ladies there then we went next door to the information centres and had another great conversation with the people there.
They are all volunteers and were very complimentary about the local shire council who they say give them very good support. We also picked up two books from the free library and took photos of the new ‘folk art sculptures’.

There were some lovely things in the exhibition but I'm trying to declutter so I didn't buy anything for myself.

That’s the best way to travel: with no plans!!
I enjoy folk art, and the things I see in your photo are quite lovely. I really like that wheel and the quilts.
