Well, I found reasons to be glad the cruise was postponed.

Well, if the flights hadn’t been canceled, I’d be on a Sea Day on the cruise, and wouldn’t disembark until Sunday. However, I think yesterday we finally saw the bright side of us having to reschedule. I knew good would come out of it, and I think it did. My BIL’s boss got fired Monday (NOT the good part), and the only one who knew the current work project as well as his boss, was him. So my BIL was greatly needed at work this week. Secondly, I haven’t felt right since I had to go to the ER at the end of August and early September. I’ll just be real about not knowing if this was my new normal and it being scary. My dad even took out medical travel insurance for me for the cruise. Finally, yesterday, I woke up and I didn’t feel as bad as I had been. I think I’m back to how I should be. If I had been on the cruise most of it probably would have been difficult for me. My sister and I talked about both these things, and I think we’ve finally really accepted next year will be better. Plus, next year the cruise will be one day longer, AND next year, because of the cruise leaving out of Norfolk, Virginia, I might get to meet another Mylotter! How exciting would that be! Do you try to find the bright side? I think it’s something most of us attempt.

When I can I do, sometimes it"s more difficult than others. It wasn't a total loss. At least you got to stay in a hotel one night, hang out with the kids and go to Buccees.

My relatives and myself always come up with the thoughts that events are postponed since something good will come out even better in the future.

I think that you are right, and you have been all along, things happen for a reason. I only wish that you could feel better really soon.

@ambiepam That is very positive - the alternative is to be miserable.
