Wow, the VA women’s open house was pretty lame today. I guess they’re preparing for the shutdown so they didn’t have much. At any rate, I’m having lunch and ready to let you have a slower dance with @rebelann today. This month is dedicated to her because she said the songs rocked her world (and her plastic chair) too much. Here’s today’s song. #4: Take Me Home - Phil Collins Didn’t I just mention that Phil Collins is one of those people (with Spandau Ballet) that you turn down at stop lights because you don’t want people to know you’re listening to him? I mean, this guy was in Genesis with Peter Gabriel doing The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway???? Yeah, I know. Genesis the prog rock band became Genesis the pop-rock band when Collins took over the lead vocal duties. And, truthfully, I’d get lost on if it was a Collins solo or Genesis band song by the mid-80s. Oh, but not this song, though. I love the stuffing out of this one. I love the video, too (“You’ve been down at the pub, haven’t you?”). I think I’d probably take this as the ONE SONG if I could only pick one from Collins’ solo career.
